Lesson 3: Design

The Elements of Design

The four concepts in this section are modeled after the four principles in Robin William's The Non-Designer's Design Book. Although common elements of any theory of design, the titles used in each section are of her device. The book is a very quick read and is packed with easy to understand visuals. It is a great introduction for the novice and a great quick reference for the expert.

It is important to note that this course does not attempt to teach design theory, nor do I want to. Instead these pages are intended to give you general guidelines for page layout. A couple of resources are listed to the left under deign links. If you find others that are helpful, please share and I will add them to the list.
